On-Time Delivery

The percentage of shipments delivered within the expected service level agreement (SLA).

Why it matters

Low on-time delivery rates may indicate carrier performance issues, customs delays, or recurring bottlenecks along a lane.

Temperature Compliance

The percentage of shipments that remained within their qualified temperature range throughout transit.

Why it matters

Temperature compliance is a key indicator of cold chain quality and product integrity.

Excursions

The number of shipments that experienced temperature deviations.

Excursions may be categorized by severity.

  • Minor

  • Major

  • Critical

Why it matters

Monitoring excursion trends helps identify recurring risks before they impact product quality.

Dwell Time

The amount of time shipments remain stationary at a waypoint.

Why it matters

Extended dwell times can increase the likelihood of delays and temperature excursions.

Connectivity

Measures how consistently IoT devices reported shipment data.

Connectivity status includes:

  • Good

  • Average

  • Poor

Battery Performance

Shows remaining battery life and battery drain trends for connected devices.

CO₂ Emissions

Estimated transportation emissions based on shipment distance and transport mode.
