You can use the Documents tab within any shipment to view, download, upload, or delete shipment files, including carrier paperwork, temperature release documents, and passive logger data. The steps below will walk you through accessing the Documents tab, managing existing files, and adding new ones as needed.
1. Open the Shipment
From the main shipment list, locate the shipment you want to review.
Click on the Shipment ID (or row) to open the Shipment Summary view.
2. Navigate to the Documents Tab
At the bottom (or within the tab row) of the shipment view, click Docs / Documents.
You’ll now see a list of all documents associated with this shipment.
If your WMS/TMS/ERP is integrated, documents may already be listed here automatically from shipment creation.
3. View or Download Existing Documents
In the Documents list, find the file you want to open.
Click the checkbox next to the document.
Choose Download to save a copy to your device.
Depending on configuration, clicking the document name may also open a preview.
4. Delete a Document
Use this only if you’re sure the document is no longer needed for audit or quality purposes.
In the Documents list, check the box next to the document you want to remove.
Click Delete.
Confirm the deletion if prompted.
5. Upload a New Document
You can add documents at any time—during the shipment or after it’s completed.
In the Documents tab, click Upload or Select from your device.
Either:
Click to open your file browser and choose a file, or
Drag and drop one or more files into the upload area.
Wait for the upload to complete.
The new document(s) will appear in the list and stay attached to the shipment.
Common uploads:
Temperature release approvals
Carrier paperwork
Quality/compliance reports
Internal investigation or CAPA documentation
6. Upload Passive Logger Data
In the same Documents tab, click Upload / Select from your device.
Choose your passive logger report file (e.g., PDF, CSV, or logger export file).
Once uploaded, CONTXT will automatically:
Parse the file
Extract raw temperature data
Attach it to the shipment for reporting and review
No extra configuration is needed after upload.
