Which shipment update notifications do external users receive?

Context
Email addresses can be added to a shipment during shipment creation. When a user's email address is added, they will receive emails with shipment updates.
Note: This does not include the full scope of notifications sent to a site member or administrator. This answer is specific to external users added to a specific shipment.
Answer
The following shipping status changes will trigger an email notification.
Left Origin / In-Transit
2 Hours from Arrival
1 Hour from Arrival
30 Minutes from Arrival
Arrived at Destination
Completed
*2hr, 1hr, and 30 minute notifications are dependent on IoT device data quality and communication frequency.
